The table lamp Binic by Foscarini inspires immediately with its sympathetic shape and its colorful appearance. The small village Binic in the French Brittany was the inspiration for the naming of this table lamp. Ionna Vautrin, the French-born designer of the lamp, has always been fascinated by the Breton world of sailors and has given expression to this fascination in the design of the lamp. Indeed, the shape of the lamp is remotely reminiscent of a lighthouse, which has always shown sailors the right way on the coasts.

Like a lighthouse, the Binic table lamp with its relatively large light outlet covered by a satin polycarbonate diffuser provides an intense, cone-shaped light beam. The downward sloping head of the lamp not only fulfills its purpose of direct light distribution, but also symbolizes at the same time a friendly gesture of affection, with which the luminaire immediately pleases.
