Suspension lamp PH 3/3 with three-layer shade of matte black metal
Suspension lamp PH 3/3 consists of three elements of different sizes, which together form the shade. The metal on the top of the shade is painted black and has a white interior that reflects the light and emits it towards the ground. The suspension is also in black. This timeless color scheme allows the pendant lamp to fit easily into many living environments and interiors, and is ideal for lighting living room or dining room tables.
PH 3/3 was designed by Poul Henningsen, who became known for his thoughtful lighting design. The first designs of the three-part lampshade date back to as early as 1925 and 1926. Henningsen's goal was to create lamps with glare-free light that would direct the light to the desired spot while casting soft shadows. The three-part lampshades are now available in numerous variations and have become a trademark of the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen.
