Louis Poulsen PH 3/2 - Hanging light

PH 3/2 designer pendant light - a lighting object that never goes out of fashion The PH 3/2 pendant light provides homogeneous, glare-free illumination of the surroundings with light that is directed downwards in particular. It is just as suitable for table lighting as it is for general lighting. The texture of the mouth-blown opal glass - it consists of three layers and is glossy on one side and matt sandblasted on the other - makes the light appear very soft and cosy. The three-shade system that characterises the design of the PH 3/2 pendant light is as relevant and popular today as it was when the Danish designer, architect, writer and journalist Poul Henningsen created it for the luminaire manufacturer Louis Poulsen. That was in 1925/26 and Henningsen's collaboration with Louis Poulsen was to last until the designer's death in 1967. Poul Henningsen's ambition was to create a light with completely glare-free light emission and to fulfil the human need for light in the best possible way. This endeavour is still the credo of the Louis Poulsen lighting company.
