LED wall lamp Flindt with impressive light effect - Ø 40 cm The Danish designer Christian Flindt has succeeded in creating a perfectly balanced symbiosis of curves, proportions and light with the LED wall lamp Flindt, for whose design he used a combination of software technology, 3D printing and metal die-casting. The wall lamp - a stylish addition to the Flindt lighting series - which was already created in cooperation with the renowned lighting company Louis Poulsen, can not only be used indoors but also anywhere on walls outdoors thanks to its IP65 protection. The Flindt wall lamp seems to float in front of the wall. This illusion is created by the fact that the elliptical shade made of two overlapping elements is slightly raised from the wall mounting. At the top of the shade there is an opening from which the light of the two built-in LEDs is distributed downwards. At the transition between convex and concave forms, a softly glowing ring of reflected light is created. Since part of the light is also emitted to the rear, an indirect light component is also created, resulting in a cosy ambience. Christian Flindt founded his own studio one year after graduating (2002) from the Århus School of Architecture. He develops innovative furniture that shows his courage to experiment, for example his sculptural chairs Orchid, Riple and Light Lounger. He has already exhibited at fairs all over the world and was honoured with the Bo Bedre Design Prize in 2005, among others. The lighting series Flindt, which consists of a floor lamp, two pendant lamps and a bollard lamp and which he designed for the lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen from Denmark, was awarded the design prize Bolig Magasinet.

The Louis Poulsen lighting company, which has been in existence since 1874, has adopted the Scandinavian design principle of "form follows function" and, with its product range based on designs by well-known designers and architects such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Alfred Homann, Verner Panton and Øivind Slaatto, stands for simple and appealing design that conveys a pleasant atmosphere.
