Its shape and structure indeed resembles a pine cone. This special shape was created by the manufacturing process in which the hot glass mass is blown into a prefabricated galvanised mesh basket. The glass expands in the gaps, but is held back in the places where the metal struts are located. Handicraft and design-technical as well as artisan expertise distinguish the designer pendant lamp Pinecone, which was developed by the Italian architect Paola Navone. The Italian has already been awarded renowned prizes for her work, such as the International Design Award or the Elle Deco International Design Award.
