Adjustable Kaiser idell™ wall light with plug and switch The Bauhaus-style Kaiser idell™ wall light is just the thing for anyone looking for an exquisitely designed and very practical light source that can also be used in a variety of ways throughout the home. The wall light with the eye-catching scissor arm is part of the legendary series of lights created by Christian Dell in 1931. Even after all this time, Bauhaus design in general and the Kaiser idell™ luminaire series in particular have lost none of their appeal. On the contrary - comfortable lights with an exquisite design are increasingly becoming an expression of individual living culture. A special feature of this range of lights is the globally patented swivel lampshade. Christian Dell came from Offenbach and was a trained silversmith before studying under Henry van de Vane at the Saxon School of Arts and Crafts in WEIMAR. He later taught industrial design and was a master craftsman at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The Kaiser Idell™ lighting series is produced by FRITZ HANSEN in the usual high quality. The traditional company was founded by carpenter Fritz Hansen after he was granted a trading licence for Copenhagen in 1872. His collaboration with well-known designers such as Arn Jacobsen, Christian Dell and Hans J. Wegner and the high quality of his craftsmanship made the company famous beyond the borders of Denmark. In 1979, 75% of the company, which had been family-run until then, was taken over by Skandinavisk Holding, which made FRITZ HANSEN fit for the future with innovative designers such as Verner Panton and extensive investments.
