The Original 1227 LED wall lamp is characterised by its classic industrial design and high functionality. George Carwardine was actually an automotive engineer by profession and specialised in the design of vehicle suspension systems. He came up with the idea of using his knowledge to develop a special work light and equipped it with special springs that act like the muscles of the human arm. The result was the Anglepoise® task light, which he patented in 1932. It became a pioneer in the field of spring-loaded lamps. The Original 1227 wall lamp is supplied with an LED bulb with an E14 bulb base. Only LED bulbs weighing between 25-45 g may be used to ensure optimum Balance.
