Pirce designer hanging light with a spiral shape
Differently sized aluminium rings with white varnish assembled in the Pirce hanging lamp so that together they form a spiral shape. The light source is positioned on a small end disk at the end of the spiral where the smallest ring is located. This radiates upwards and thus produces indirect light for the living room lighting. The rings and their special arrangement create a pretty light pattern on the ceiling.
Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà, Italian designer and industrial mechanic, was already a senior project designer for high-tech companies. His collaboration with the designer lighting manufacturer Artemide began with the design for the Pirce lighting series in 2008. Artemide is known worldwide as one of the leading manufacturers of design lighting. The head office is located in Pregnana near Milan. Founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi, Artemide now has five production plants, two glass factories and a research and innovation centre with testing laboratories.
