Piece of furniture and lamp - that's the LED outdoor luminaire Empty
A piece of furniture? A lamp? Why not simply both?! - That's what the Spanish manufacturer Vibia probably thought when creating the concept "Furniture meets Light", which also includes the LED outdoor luminaire Empty.
The body of the light consists of polymer concrete, which on the one hand protects the permanently installed LED technology from wind and weather and on the other hand offers a stable seating or storage surface, because the concrete can bear a load of up to 150 kg. Thus, Empty is an absolute highlight in terms of function and design - a seat during the day and an intense light in the evening.
The design of this refined light comes from Xuclà, who was awarded the Best of Year Award in 2015. The designer has been creating outdoor lighting for Vibia for several years, which is characterised by architectural and minimalist features.
