A hanging light with history - the Bauhaus hanging light by Brandt and Przyrembel

-- Quality and history made in Germany. - -

This Bauhaus hanging light was designed by Marianne Brandt and Hans Przyrembel in 1925. Even in those days this unique product was produced on an industrial scale as the design was unconditionally convincing - as all the products of the great Bauhaus designers.

This is because this model complies fully with the requirements of the Bauhaus style with its lampshade and light quality. This style comes from the eponymous State Bauhaus in Weimar, the College of Design during the Weimar Republic. Here came the leading contemporary artists together and there were countless masterpieces, which are now undisputed classics of the modern age under the term Bauhaus design. Its distinctive mark is the shape, which always follows the purpose, the material properties and the production method.

The authenticity of this design that was meticulously reconstructed by the manufacturer TECNOLUMEN is verified by consecutive numbering and the TECNOLUMEN/BAUHAUS stamp.

The company TECNOLUMEN - Programme with heart

The company TECNOLUMEN is based entirely on the Bauhaus-style: Their first product was the Wagenfeld table lamp in 1979. In addition to Wilhelm Wagenfeld’s models, TECNOLUMEN integrated even more design classics of Bauhaus in their program; from Marianne Brandt to the designs of other designers such as Walter Schnepel. Art Deco and De Stijl are also shaping the program of this manufacturer.
