What's more, the intelligent technology hidden behind the simple façade cannot be recognised at first glance. The L 840 SC LED outdoor wall light has energy-efficient LEDs that spotlight upwards and downwards with a warm white light. The technology is framed by UV-resistant plastic, which is elegantly finished in anthracite and ideally complements the diffusers in plain white. The invisible iHF sensor cannot be seen from the outside. The motion detector has a range of 5 metres and only detects human movement patterns. All other movements, such as small animals or rustling leaves in the wind, are skilfully ignored. The iHF sensor emits electromagnetic waves for this purpose and receives their echo. If a person moves within the detection range, this echo change is recognised and the command is given to switch on the light. All functions of the L 840 SC LED outdoor wall light can be controlled via a smartphone or tablet. This is done via a Bluetooth connection and the use of the appropriate, free Steinel Smart remote control app, which is available for Android or iOS.
