Cavity Recessed designer recessed light with dimmable LEDs

In the Cavity Recessed LED recessed ceiling light from serien-lighting, the curved aluminium body replaces the reflector which is a standard feature of recessed lights and downlights to direct the light. Due to the cavity (which gives the light its name), the LEDs sit relatively deep inside the recessed light, and the light is emitted through the trumpet-shaped light outlet without glare and directed downwards. An external trailing edge dimmer can be used to dim Cavity Recessed.

Jean-Marc da Costa and Manfred Wolf are not only the designers of this light. They are also the founders of serien.lighting. In 1985, the two fellow students joined forces and, as industrial designers, founded their own lighting company which is well-known internationally today. The serien.lighting lights are characterised by a generally simple, but very sophisticated design, in which the technology enters into a perfect symbiosis with the design.
