In addition, the luminaire can be varied in length, because the shade composed of three narrow elements is extendable. The light emitted upwards and downwards is controlled by sensors integrated at the top and bottom of the luminaire. Short movements in the area of the sensors control the light color, holding the hand below the sensor starts the dimming process, which ends as soon as the hand is removed from the sensor area. The light color can be adjusted in the range from warm white illumination to universal white light and is continuously dimmable.
