OMLED One s5L – a high-quality hanging lamp with OLEDs

The light element of the OMLED One s5L OLED hanging lamp has been distributed into five fields. Organic LEDs have been arranged in each of the five fields. The light is predominantly made from glass – it serves as the carrier of the light, the operating element and the circuit board. Glass is one of the oldest materials known to man. It offers limitless variety and an almost unlimited life span. It is produced using natural raw materials that are of limitless supply and thus makes it possible to produce an environmentally friendly and sustainably produced light in Germany. The organic light-emitting diodes – so-called OLEDs – combine many economic and above all environmental benefits. They emit UV-free and IR-free light, which serves to create a pleasant atmosphere in the room in question. The manufacturing process has been developed and patented in Germany.

Thin layers of semi-conductive organic materials sit between two conductive layers and serve as the bulbs. They emit light when electricity flows. The glass housing is both the user interface and the circuit board. The light can be switched on and off and dimmed using the integrated user element on the glass.
