The Buddy wall wall light was created in 2017 by Danish designer Mads Sætter-Lassen, who graduated from the renowned design school at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He sees himself as an advocate of democratic design, emphasising simplicity and functionality. He prefers to emphasise the beauty and integrity of materials before adding unnecessary ornamentation or elaborate details that would distract from the essentials. Northern's idea and guiding principle is that they combine pale beauty with raw contrasts and traditional craftsmanship. They place great emphasis on natural materials and craftsmanship. Combining beauty with the functional is not always easy. Northern's aim is to create works of art that fit uncompromisingly into both contemporary and traditional spaces.
