Not of this world: Alien XL designer pendant light The Alien light series by Constantine Wortmann already reveals a lot about its appearance with its name. "Aliens", i.e. strange, is the name of the structure that seems to wind its way down from the ceiling on the textile cable. The body, made of high-quality, translucent polyethylene, is closed on all sides, which, together with the milky surface, results in absolute freedom from glare. The Alien XL pendant light is an eye-catching furnishing accessory in private rooms as well as in hotels, bars and other public buildings. The Alien XL model is part of a series of luminaires designed by the Munich-based designer Constantine Wortmann, who has also worked for the well-known luminaire designer Ingo Maurer. In recent years, Wortmann has become the head designer of the Cologne-based luminaire manufacturer next lighting. The company was founded in 2000 by Thomas Schulte, and production and dispatch have been based in Cologne since 2005. All lights from next are "Made in Germany".
