The Flo luminaire series is the result of the first collaboration between the manufacturer Lumina Italia and Foster + Partners, one of the world's most renowned architectural firms. In the design of the minimalist floor lamp in a streamlined, curved shape of steel and aluminium, all superfluous moving parts have been removed, yet it is versatilely adjustable thanks to the arm that can be tilted by 120° and the lamp head that can be rotated by 300°. In addition, the light can be switched in two brightness levels via the switch built into the head.

The architectural firm Foster + Partners designed the Flo luminaire series in 2011 for the Italian lighting company Lumina. It is one of the world's best-known architectural firms, with its most famous commissions including the redesign of the Reichstag in Berlin and Wembley Stadium in London, as well as the headquarters of Swiss Re in London (Swiss Re Tower) and Apple Park in California.

The Italian company Lumina was founded in 1980 by Tommaso Cimini and is a specialist in the field of lighting production. High-quality and durable products are the result of Lumina's luminaire production, whereby the company attaches great importance to sustainability both in the products themselves and in their manufacture. Steel, aluminium and glass are predominantly used for the production of luminaires, the company attaches great importance to short transport routes for raw materials, the company generates most of its energy from solar panels and only recyclable materials are used for packaging.
