Completely glare-free pendant lamp PH 5 – a classic by Poul Henningsen
The PH 5 designer pendant lamp offers a fantastic light experience: three lampshade components made of extruded aluminium direct the light downwards; while a trumpet-shaped upper lampshade directs the light to the sides. As a result, when switched on, the light basks in an aura of light without there being any unpleasant glare.
The pendant light’s three-part lampshade dates back to the designs by Poul Henningsen, the famous Danish designer, who created products for the company Louis Poulsen from 1925 until his death in 1967. Louis Poulsen is a traditional Danish company, which manufactures designer lights in line with the principle “Form follows function”. Louis Poulsen has been producing typically Scandinavian lighting solutions for over 100 years; some models have been available for decades and are regularly released in new editions. In 2018, PH 5 will celebrate its 60th anniversary. New colour combinations for the classic light have been released to celebrate the occasion.
