Pendant light Above - a homogeneous expression of minimalist aesthetics

The name of the pendant light Above refers to the opening on the top of the lampshade. It not only allows the light bulb to emit light towards the ceiling; but also serves to preserve the visual shape of the light, whether it is switched on or off.

The Danish designer Mads Odgård is responsible for the extraordinary simplicity of this attractive design. His creations are all shaped by minimalism and he works in line with the principle of creating clear products, which give as much room to the functionality as to the shape and quality. The pendant light Above is one of his success stories. Its pleasant light is reflected by the matt white painted interior of the aluminium lampshade and emitted evenly downwards. The light is also able to escape subtly through the opening at the top of the light to produce an unforgettable ambience.
