The stylized design of the table lamp Bourgie, which is completely made of plastic, combines baroque elements (base) with classical ones (shade) and as a whole represents a harmonious symbiosis of the classical and the innovative. The innovative thing about Bourgie is the idea to produce a table lamp, which uses classical, baroque patterns and style elements, from the modern material plastic. To increase the ease of use, the lamp was equipped with a dimmer.
The Italian company Kartell is known for its innovations made of plastic. Since the 1950s, designers have been developing furniture, household goods and lamps made of plastic for the Milan-based company.
