Designer outdoor wall light Nilo with warm white LEDs for outdoor use

This LED outdoor wall lamp Nilo embodied elegance and minimalism. Its exclusive shape is reminiscent of a classic wall torch, but still resembles a plant, such as reeds. It blends elegantly into the outdoor area and, despite its discreet appearance, offers a recognition value that makes it unique. Thanks to its IP44 protection class, it is very well suited for entrance areas and sets them impressively in scene.

A matt black, gracile aluminium rod is mounted in vertical alignment on a round, cylindrical wall bracket. At its upper end, this rod leads into an attractive light source, which is shaped like a flame and tapers narrowly towards the sky. It presents itself in matt white and was made of resin, which makes its structures look very natural. The light of the LEDs fills about half of the head of the lamp with warm white light and gently tapers off towards the top. The result is the appearance of a burning candle, which is particularly pleasant to look at. The light is emitted glare-free and homogeneously into the surroundings, creating a comfortable ambience. As it is in a way reminiscent of classic wall torches from the Middle Ages, it harmonises particularly well with stone facades - but also cuts a fine figure on any modern house wall.

When designing the Nilo range of lamps, designer Matteo Ugolini - who designed the lamps for Italian brand manufacturer Karman - was guided by old memories that took him back to an Italian village in the summer, where he would relax between the cheerful village life and a river and watch the ornamental water plants.
