The Italian lighting manufacturer Karman offers high-quality products, which are based on creative ideas and convince with their special charisma. When designing Kimono, the designer Matteo Ugolini had in mind to let the object, despite the model of a heavy cylinder, seemingly float weightlessly in space and merge with its surroundings. For this purpose, the exterior pendant luminaire Kimono is made of a dense fabric of fine fibreglass fibres, which protrude freely into the room at the fraying ends. The design, which is already conspicuous by day, gains additional radiance in the dark when the light is on.
