Domenica - designer wall light with a break in style Some call it a break in style, others see it as a welcome distraction from the ordinary, from everyday life - just as Sunday differs from the other days of the week as a "festive day". "Domenica", meaning Sunday, is also the name of this Italian designer light, one half of which is made of plaster and the other of wire mesh. The plaster half has a fine relief and the transition to the other half is designed as if pieces of plaster have broken off. The wire mesh stands in stark contrast to the staid and rather classic-looking upper half and embodies the modern, the exciting, the new, which breaks out of the classic, the old and the dusty. The two designers Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo created the Domenica series for the Italian lighting manufacturer Karman. Karman is always about the extraordinary, it's about emotions and handcraftsmanship as well as local production in Italy.
