Designer table lamp I Ricchi Poveri Monument for a Bulb is a monument to the traditional light bulb The size ratio between the small figures placed on the base plate and the bulb alone speaks volumes about the great importance the traditional light bulb had for the designer Ingo Maurer. The very name of the table lamp, I Ricchi Poveri Monument for a Bulb, reveals that Maurer once again wanted to create a monument to the traditional light bulb with this design object. The traditional light bulb, and with it the light, is enthroned above everything in this light - even above people. The small figures gathered at the base of the traditional light bulb are made of nickel silver. With the exception of the seated figure, the other figures can be positioned as desired in the existing drill holes. The LED bulb, which is held by thin brass rods, is enthroned above the people like a memorial. It is supplied with power via a soldered red wire that disappears into the base plate and ends in a connection socket. I Ricchi Poveri Monument for a Bulb is infinitely dimmable via a slider on the electronic transformer. This extraordinary table lamp is on display in Ingo Maurer's showrooms in New York and Munich.
