Bamboo ceiling lamp Mekong with two-part shade

The round ceiling lamp Mekong has a visually two-part shade, which is made by hand from bamboo. Bamboo is an extremely strong, but also flexible material, which is considered very strong growth and produces a lot of oxygen as a plant. Its flexibility allows the traditional weaving of the individual components, which is mainly mastered by the people of Vietnam. These villagers are enabled by manufacturing to earn a living and work under humane conditions.

The shade is in the upper half in white, while the lower presents itself in natural color. Through the fine gaps, the light enters the room all around. Thanks to the downward opening, the lighting is direct, making Mekong suitable for general room lighting. Its natural touch emphasizes modern and conscious styles of living.

They stand for sustainable lighting solutions and belong to the Dutch company It's about Romi, which started working with sustainable materials back in 2010. To do even more good, the company is involved with charitable foundations and organizations such as Eden Reforestation Projects, through which one tree is planted for reforestation for every product sold.
