The natural fibre jute is the most widespread plant fibre after cotton and is characterised by its robustness. It is grown from seeds and can be harvested within 4 to 6 months. The fibres are spun into coarse, strong threads. These were woven parallel to each other around the horizontally running struts to form a shade that lets a very diffuse, atmospheric light escape all around, while the light emerges directly downwards through the opening, so that Iguazu can be used above counters, side tables, but also dining tables.
