In Japanese, Kurage means "jellyfish", and indeed, the impressive Kurage table lamp resembles the small sea creatures a little bit. The finest Japanese Washi paper, which is made from mulberry fibres and appears smooth and porous at the same time, forms the impressive lampshade here. It allows the light to pass through very gently and creates a warm, pleasant atmosphere that invites you to relax and linger. The shade itself sits here on a filigree, elegant frame with four legs, which is made of natural ash wood. The lamp socket inside is designed and made of white ceramic, as is the supply cable, which is additionally sheathed in paper fibres. Kurage is suitable for a targeted accent in modern living spaces or as elegant additional lighting. Thanks to its light design and sensitive lighting effect, it contributes to relaxation and can be used in modern living rooms or bedrooms.

The design of this impressive table lamp by Foscarini is the result of a collaboration between the Italian designer Luca Nichetto and a working group of the Japanese architect Oki Sato.
