A jewel for your home - LED wall lamp Gioia

A precious white Carrara Gioia marble slab is at the centre of the circular Gioia wall lamp, which is suspended from a recess in the transparent pane with a brass detail. This allows the marble plate to move and swing back and forth like an earring. The light of the LEDs comes from a separately mounted, round plastic diffuser, which can give glare-free accent light into the room. A grey textile cable with a toggle switch supplies the luminaire with power. The cable is removable. A trailing edge phase dimmer (not included) can also be used to vary the brightness of the wall lamp.

"Gioia is a jewel for our home", says designer Andrea Anastasio himself about the wall lamp he designed (2019). The transparency of the glass contrasts with the marble, symbolizing the movement between two worlds: The light grey veined marble reflects the past with impressive architectural buildings and statues and the translucent Perspex sheet reflects the present with innovation and synthetic materials.

The Italian designer Anastasio studied philosophy and is passionate about architecture and traditional craftsmanship. He is particularly interested in the processing of objects and materials.
