At first glance, you think it's an ordinary fabric cover that fits around the steel frame of the shade, but it's a special material called Cocoon. You quickly catch yourself thinking of a cocoon, like the one spun by a silk moth, for example. And indeed: one is quite right with this mental leap, because it is not a woven or knitted fabric that helps Taraxacum to its unique expression, but in fact a fine web of threads, in which thread after thread has been joined around the frame until a fine but dense fabric has been created, which has finally been fixed with a spray to ensure a stable shape and sufficient stability.
