With a hand-blown glass lampshade: Dioscuri table light by Artemide

the Dioscuri table lamp conjures up an attractive ambience and feelings of cosiness. This largely down to its spherical body, which is made of hand-blown, etched glass. This surrounds the light bulb and gently softens the rays of light, so that they are emitted into the room as a dimmed, cosy highlights. The brightness can also be adjusted with the integrated dimmer.

The Dioscuri light series, named after the two mythological figures Castor and Pollux, who are referred to as Dioskuren, or sons of Zeus, is a creation of the Italian designer Michele De Lucchi, who completed his degree in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic and today, with his studio, has supervised architectural projects in north-east Italy. He is also a lecturer in industrial design.

Michele De Lucchi has already designed many light series for the well-known designer lighting manufacturer Artemide from Milan. Artemide stands for design made in Italy. The high-quality lights of the Italian company have been honoured with awards and prizes for years for their innovative designs and functions.
