Campari Light - designer hanging light with ten real Campari Soda bottles

It is the highlight in any cocktail bar - the hanging light Campari Light by Ingo Maurer. This is not simply a case of coloured red water being poured into glass bottles and served as Campari. No, these are ten original Campari Soda bottles which are bundled together to form the sensational hanging light Campari Light. The light bulb is placed in the centre of the bottles, which are arranged in a circle. It makes skilful use of the red liquid to create a unique lighting effect.

Of course, attention to detail does not fall by the wayside in Campari Light. The Campari crown cap, which is attached to the suspension system in the centre, is an amusing eye-catching feature, of course, but is also used to adjust the height of the light seamlessly. The canopy is deliberately transparent, so that nothing can distract from the centrepiece of the light.

Campari Soda was the first convenience drink in the world on the spirits market. Fortunato Depero, an Italian futurist artist, designed the cult Campari Soda bottle as early as 1932. Precisely 70 years later, Raffaele Celentano rediscovered the artistic potential of the bottle and designed the hanging light Campari Light for Ingo Maurer - not without giving it a funny name of course, as is typical of the lighting creations of Ingo Maurer.
