Unterlinden LED table lamp – designed by Herzog & de Meuron

The internationally renowned lighting company Artemide from Italy works together with the architectural practice Herzog & de Meuron from Switzerland to keep up with the developments in architecture. Its designs, such as the Unterlinden table lamp, often provide an opportunity to re-examine the trends in new lighting solutions.

The Unterlinden table lamp, which puts the head in the right position with its thin, curved metal rod, provides excellent workplace lighting without glare.

Herzog & de Meuron was founded in 1978 by the architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron. They carried out the conversion of the Tate Gallery of Modern Art in London and are responsible for designing the St. Jakob Park stadium in Basel and the Allianz Arena in Munich. The National Stadium in Beijing for the 2008 Olympics and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg were also designed by the architectural practice Herzog & de Meuron.

Artemide is known for working with well-known designers throughout the world. Many of their lights have been awarded design prizes and have been included in the collections of museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Galleria Nazionale d´Arte Moderna in Rome.
