The Tolomeo table lamp has a long history: in 1986, Michele De Lucchi developed the original shape of this popular and timelessly attractive table lamp. For the high functionality of this light source that features a spring balancing system, he borrowed an idea from the fishing traditions of the Apulian fishermen. In the trabucchi, the Apulian fishing machines, the net is attached to poles that are held by ropes. The lever arm mechanism of the Tolomeo table lamp was inspired by this.

Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina are responsible for the modern version of this classic light. The Tolomeo LED table lamp has a high level of energy efficiency, as well as an excellent functionality. The built-in LEDs shine in a very pleasant warm white luminous colour, making Tolomeo suitable for use as a reading light for a work table or bedside table, for example. The integrated dimmer can be used to perfectly adjust the luminous intensity.
