Innovative, then as now - the Tizio desk lamp A design classic since 1972 and still up-to-date and innovative in terms of technology - the Tizio desk lamp from the pen of German industrial designer Richard Sapper. At the time of its creation, Tizio was the first low-voltage halogen lamp that also required no wiring thanks to the transformer integrated in the base, as the electricity was channelled through the arms of the table lamp. A minor sensation. In addition, the arms and the head of the lamp could be adjusted to any position thanks to the counterweights. This meant that tension springs, for example, were no longer necessary, as was the case with other desk lamps. Tizio is still equipped in the same way today and has lost none of its fascination. Suitable for use in modern offices, private study rooms or hotels, the Tizio table lamp, which can be switched in two stages, not only impresses with its classic and award-winning design. It offers space for a GY6.35 bulb (12V, not included, see accessories). The Tizio table lamp can be switched to two levels. The Munich-based designer Richard Sapper is one of the most important product designers of our time. In addition to the Tizio table lamp, which is still one of the best-selling lights today, during his lifetime he also worked for IBM and later for Lenovo as a senior consultant for industrial design and designed the first ThinkPad (700C), which was revolutionary at the time.
