Then, of course, there is the question of where you want to place your LED spotlights. If it can get damp there, you should ensure an appropriate protection rating. This is necessary in the bathroom. The more humid it can get, the higher the protection against moisture should be - defined in the second digit.

Are LED spotlights suitable for the bathroom?
Spotlights in the bathroom also ensure that the surroundings and their occupants cut a fine figure. Placed on the ceiling, the entire room is illuminated, above the mirror the ability of targeted lighting comes into play. Mascara and shaving work really well without annoying shadows. Well suited above the mirror: multi-flame LED spotlights. When it comes to moisture protection, you are on the safe side with protection class IP44 - this applies to mirror and ceiling spotlights. However, please always consult a specialist for the installation, who knows exactly which protection class is prescribed where - especially in the bathroom there is a lot to consider.

How many lumens do I need per square metre?
That depends on how bright you want it. And also which room you want to equip with LED spotlights. Roughly speaking, you can use this as a guide when it comes to lumen:
- Basic lighting living room / hallway: 100 lm/m²
- Basic lighting kitchen / bathroom: 300 lm/m²
