Tiffany lamps
Pure splendour of colour in Art Nouveau styleThe Tiffany style is a real perennial favourite in the interior design sector. The colourful stained glass lights, which are usually fitted with a metal base, have been present in our living rooms for around 150 years - in ever new designs: from floral motifs to creative ornaments and animal motifs. Tiffany lamps can also be perfectly combined with modern furnishings as eye-catchers and can also be fitted with modern LED light sources thanks to standardised sockets.

Interesting facts about the Tiffany style
)
Louis Comfort Tiffany is the forefather of Tiffany glass art. In 1878, the Art Nouveau artist founded his own interior design company in New York and worked to perfection in the field of glass art. Finally, he opened "The Tiffany Glass Company" in New York. Original Tiffany lamps from this period are traded as expensive antiques. And high-quality, well-made replicas are also more in demand than ever.

The traditional production of a Tiffany lamp goes back to the craftsmanship of Louis Comfort Tiffany: he developed a special technique in which individual glass parts were encased in a copper foil and joined with solder. The soldered seams were given a characteristically dark patina. In 1894, he patented the process for producing Tiffany-Favrille glass (iridescent art glass).
)
Typical of Tiffany-style lamps are the soldered, colourful glass leaves, which create floral, playful patterns in the Art Nouveau tradition. Depending on taste, however, designs with cleaner, geometric shapes influenced by Art Déco are also possible. To this end, the designers have kept a low profile when it comes to the multi-faceted colour scheme, opting instead for rich contrasts.
Tip: Always fit Tiffany luminaires with warm white LED light sources for particularly cosy light.
