Wireless charging with Qi lamps

Qi lamps combine an everyday item with the innovative Qi charging technology, also known as inductive charging. This enables Qi-compatible smartphones to be charged without a cable - all that is needed is contact with the charging station. Qi is the standard for induction charging devices. Electric toothbrushes, for example, have been using this form of energy transmission for a long time. Smartphone batteries can also be charged via Qi, provided they are compatible.

The rechargeable battery of the mobile device has a receiver coil. A second coil is located in the charging station of a utility item: the table lamp. Every Qi-enabled smartphone that is placed on the charging surface is automatically charged - without a cable.
