The special thing about fairy lights is that they can be used to create a cosy ambience in our rooms all year round. The variety of designs goes far beyond the traditional fairy lights with candles for the Christmas tree. There are fairy lights for every occasion and furnishing style from industrial to Scandi, in the form of individual points of light, cones, balls and even bulbs, in colourful or plain colours.
Attaching fairy lights is uncomplicated. In most cases, you only need one socket outlet, e.g. as decoration for a dining table or sideboard. Attached to the wall or ceiling, it requires a few accessories for secure fastening.
Transparent, double-sided adhesive tape is often sufficient for smooth surfaces. For rough surfaces, we recommend individual dowels along which the light chain is draped. Other options are clamps or nail clamps. Some fairy lights for mounting on windows have suction cups.
Of course, fairy lights can also be placed around any fixed frame, e.g. bed posts, shelves or fences, without an additional holder. Outside, gutter hooks are also ideal for impressive fairy light decorations.
The classic Christmas light chain on the Christmas tree is still around today - and a convenient alternative to the long cable that you wind round the tree: the cordless fairy lights with battery operation. The individual candles with energy-saving LEDs are powered by standard AA or AAA batteries and can therefore be placed anywhere on the branches of the tree.

Fairy lights for indoor areas must not be used in the garden, on the patio or on the balcony. Special fairy lights for outdoors are available for this purpose. These have an increased protection class from IP44, which means they are protected against splash water and solid foreign bodies >= 1mm. This means that these fairy lights can withstand weather conditions.
This is no longer necessary with modern LED fairy lights and is generally no longer possible. The long service life of the LEDs ensures that you can enjoy the fairy lights for years without having to search for suitable replacement bulbs.
