GX53 LED lamps are the modern alternative to GX53 compact fluorescent lamps. With the GX53 base, the distance between the two metal contacts is 53 mm. It is fixed in the socket by turning it clockwise.
The low height of the light source of 25 mm was unique for compact fluorescent lamps. In the age of LEDs, however, significantly flatter designs are possible, which is what enabled modern minimalism to gain a foothold in the lighting sector in the first place.
However, as many lights with GX53 sockets are still available, there are also compatible GX53 LED alternatives for these lamps, which are expected to offer higher energy savings and a longer service life.

Partly due to the spread of permanently installed LEDs as the most flexible and energy-efficient light source, the use of separate GX53 lamps indoors has become less common. However, they are still frequently found in outdoor lights** for every installation location, i.e. in ceiling lights, outdoor wall lights, recessed lights and even path lights. The GX53 LED lamp is the perfect replacement for these luminaires.
