In the children's room, the hanging lamp is not only the main light source - but also a defining interior highlight! Because when you take them out of the box as an adult, you will fondly remember the colourful pirate, aeroplane or football motif that you had on the ceiling as a boy or girl.
The children's living room is usually much busier than their parents' rooms. And because the children's room pendant light hangs in the room and can be "hit" while playing, it is for safety reasons made of wood or plastic and never of glass.
Whether for a pillow fight or climbing around on a chair: when it comes to the hanging height of a hanging lamp in the children's room, the basic rule is that adventurous children must not be allowed to reach. Safety is the top priority here!
This depends on the size of the children's room - it must be neither bright nor dark. The pendant luminaire should be able to provide basic lighting for a room.
It is also a good idea to combine the pendant light with a table lamp for the desk, for example, which provides additional light when doing homework. This is because a pendant lamp alone can never illuminate all areas brightly and without shadows.
The optimum light colour for basic lighting in children's rooms is warm white with a colour temperature of less than 3,300 Kelvin. This gives the light in the room a cosy and comfortable effect.
For area lighting in children's rooms, on the other hand, universal white light between 3,300 and 5,300 Kelvin may be better, e.g. at a desk. This is why a desk lamp can certainly produce a different light colour than the children's room pendant lamp.
