An LED strip is extremely flexible and therefore offers numerous design options. For example, the LED strip can also be attached to rounded or angular edges. LED strips are made of silicone, a highly heat- and water-resistant plastic. This means that an LED strip can withstand heavy loads, is tear-resistant and can be installed quickly and easily. The corresponding protection class equips the LED strip for outdoor use. For example, an LED strip with IP 33 - IP stands for "Ingress Protection". "Ingress protection" - protected against foreign bodies larger than 2.5 millimetres and spray water or rain up to 60° against the vertical.
There are endless uses for LED strips: whether as under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen, as decoration in the garden or as backlighting for TV screens. Indirect lighting of furniture, for example, can also be realised. All this is possible with LED strips. LED strips with RGB colour change provide special highlights. Some LED strips can even be conveniently controlled by remote control. It is also possible to set different light colours so that different lighting moods can be created with the LED strip. The length of an LED strip is also variable. You can therefore use it to realise your own individual ideas. Especially in the commercial sector - for example for advertising purposes in shop windows - this allows a great deal of design freedom. Unlike plug-in systems, however, an LED strip can only be shortened. This means that the LED strip cannot be cut and then reassembled. LED strips offer advantages due to their compactness, which allows them to be used for lighting in the smallest of spaces. The low heat development of the LEDs in the LED strip also contributes to this.
