Christmas lighting reinvents itself every year. The trend towards coloured light has also produced cheerful, colourful lights for outdoor Christmas decorations, which set the mood for Christmas in the garden, on the patio or balcony and make the hearts of decorating fans beat faster with colour changes.
The trend towards stylised Christmas decorations for outdoors is new. In addition to figure silhouettes and light tubes for balustrades and the like, these are above all huge XXL Christmas trees, where a network of lights in the silhouette of a tree is strung up a central flagpole - a great eye-catcher for the winter garden!
Also included every year is the Christmas star in ever new variations from the mini star to the 18-pointed star. The inviting lighting concept is rounded off by light globes, e.g. also with modern wire mesh, which are also suitable all year round.
Outdoor Christmas decorations also count as outdoor lights and therefore require a higher protection rating due to the sometimes severe weather conditions (especially in winter). Most outdoor Christmas decorations have protection class IP44 and are therefore protected against splashing water and solid foreign bodies ≥ 1 mm.
The law stipulates that Christmas lighting must not be significantly brighter than other local lighting. In addition, the night-time rest periods from 10-6 pm must be observed. During this time, for example, Christmas lights should never flash in the neighbour's bedroom window or even play music.
