True enthusiasts: Born in 1992 from the passion of Bernard Forestier, the employees of the French company are committed to touching people and culture every day.
Thanks to constant internal design revolutions, the company remains true to itself to this day and yet is constantly reinventing itself. While the focus was initially on wire mesh enlivened with poetry and humour, today a pinch of luxury and sustainability underline the seal of quality of the Forestier luminaires produced by craftsmanship.
Forestier luminaires are fully in keeping with the spirit of founder Bernard Forestier: they are objects with a strong identity, which are both beautiful and useful and are also offered at affordable prices.
Forestier's designer portfolio includes recognised and future talents who share a common passion: with their creations, they dare to inspire a new trend and not just follow one.
Boundless creativity: The works of artist, designer, technician and photographer Arik Lévy are firmly anchored in galleries and museums around the world. In addition to home lighting for Forestier and Vibia, he has designed installations, high-tech objects, furniture and crockery for Samsung, Hennessy, Swarovski and Issey Miyake, among others.
Bamboo Light: a poetic, handcrafted encounter between nature and design.
Antenna: its design exudes an airy lightness thanks to the mesh fabric. The inner textile diffuser ensures glare-free lighting.
New dimensions: The mechanical engineering graduate from Mongkut North University of Technology (KMUTNB) is researching how design boundaries can be broken through physical matter. His approach is artistic as well as sustainable and ecological and, in addition to Forestier, has already been used for Grohe, Ford and Bacardi, for example.
Chanpen: a design inspired by the full moon and made from artfully interwoven abacá fibres.
Capsule: made from banana leaves, it crosses the border into an artistic and ecological dimension.
A personality creates personality: Jette Scheib draws inspiration for her functional objects from the forms of nature, the organic and people. This creates objects that have a real personality. The industrial designer, who studied in Germany at the Berlin University of the Arts, lives in Barcelona and designs not only for Forestier but also for Innermost, for example.
Oyster: the light source sits inside the metal rings woven with cotton thread like the pearl of an oyster
Cymbal: a graceful composition of linen, velvet and wood, inspired by Far Eastern singing bowls - the cymbals.
**Elise Fouin, a graduate of the Boulle School in Paris, experiments with paper, wood, metal, glass, fabric and various plastics. Her works are characterised by materials that are twisted in all directions. In addition to Forestier, the designer has developed objects for Guerlain and Christofle, Champagne Ruinart, Eau de Kenzo, Trakett and Lit National.
Dragonfly lantern: with its dragonfly-like design of filigree metal struts, it promises magical moments of light.
Papillon: the craftsmanship of its characteristic, light and airy silhouette is breathtaking. The round surface showcases favourite objects.
Decides the fate of Forestier: Jean-Dominique Leze has been Art Director since 2012. He is characterised by a great enthusiasm for design and elegance. His pronounced environmental awareness fits in perfectly with Forestier's company history.
